TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Throughout the fall, will take a closer look at this year’s class of newcomers. The first ‘Getting To Know’ segment of the 2013 season features freshman goalkeeper Cassie Miller from Cave Creek, Ariz.

Florida State welcomes seven new players in 2013 including six freshmen and one transfer. Three student-athletes joined the Seminoles a semester early enrolling during the spring 2013 semester, while this year’s class also includes one international player.

Where has been your favorite place to visit?

Who is your biggest role model?
My mom and my brother because they have taught me everything and they keep me going.

Favorite soccer team?

What kind of pillow pet do you have and what is its name?
I have a cow pillow pet and his name is Unis.

Biggest soccer moment?
Playing in the U-17 World Cup with 4,200 crazy fans representing the USA.

Favorite athlete?
Steve Nash

What is one thing you can’t live without?
My cross necklace and my ring. They both have meaning and you will never see me without them.

Why did you choose Florida State?
FSU is such a great, professional program and I know I will improve tremendously with coach Bristol coaching me.
