DURHAM, N.C. – Florida State’s game with Georgia Tech has been moved to Saturday after inclement weather interrupted Friday’s Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament schedule at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Originally scheduled for a 3 p.m. Friday start, the second-seeded Seminoles and third-seeded Yellow Jackets – each boasting a 1-1 tournament record – will square off Saturday at 9 a.m. FoxSports Florida will televise the game live.

The defending ACC champion Seminoles (41-16) used a 6-3 win over Clemson on Thursday to keep their title hopes alive. FSU can advance to Sunday’s championship game with a victory over the Yellow Jackets (40-18) and a Clemson win over NC State in Saturday’s scheduled 11 a.m. contest.

Georgia Tech evened its tournament record with a 15-inning, 6-5 victory over NC State on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets won the five-hour affair when Mott Hyde stole home in the top of the 15th in a game that concluded at 12:30 a.m.

Heavy storms moved into the area Friday, interrupting the Virginia-Miami game in the second inning with the Hurricanes leading 2-0. Those teams are scheduled to complete their game at 7 p.m., with Wake Forest and North Carolina to play immediately following its conclusion. The decision to play the Wake Forest-UNC game – originally scheduled for 7 p.m. – instead of the FSU-Georgia Tech game, was to prevent the Demon Deacons and Tar Heels from playing two games on Saturday.

Saturday’s four-game schedule will begin with FSU and Georgia and be followed by Clemson-NC State, Miami-Wake Forest and Virginia-North Carolina. There will be a 40-minute intermission between each game.

The ACC’s Regional Sports Network television partners will continue to provide live coverage of all the remaining games.
