Kjettrup Wins Second ACC Golfer of the Month Award

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Sophomore Florida State Men’s Golfer Frederik Kjettrup has earned ACC Co-Men’s Golfer of the Month once again, achieving the feat for his outstanding play in both February and March.

The native of Aabybro, Denmark, played in two tournaments in March, co-winning the All-American Intercollegiate in Humble, Texas, with a 3-under 141 (72-69). He then finished second at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational on March 29, shooting a 13-under (64-72-64).

Kjettrup has finished in the Top 5 in five of his last six tournaments played, enjoying a remarkable run where he placed second at the Valspar, won the All-American, tied for fifth at the Cabo Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 27-March 1) and was third at the Watersound Invitational (Feb. 20-22).

He also tied for second at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate to wrap up the fall season on Nov. 1.

His strong play on the course has moved him up to seventh in the latest Golfstat player rankings, emerging as the top-ranked ACC golfer. He is 10th according to Golfweek’s player rankings.

Kjettrup had a scoring average of 68.2 in March. Overall, he has an average score of 70.30 and is -1.17 vs. par.

The Seminoles finish the regular season at the Mossy Oak Collegiate held at Old Waverly Golf Course in West Point, Miss., from April 11-12.

The 2022 ACC Men’s Golf Championship is April 22-25 at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course at Watersound Club in Panama City, Fla.
