TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Hank Lebioda has been named the ACC Men’s Golfer of the Month for October.
Lebioda, a native of Winter Springs, Fla., had three top-seven finishes in three tournaments played during October, including two second-place finishes. At the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, he finished tied for second with an 8-under 202.
He then tied for seventh at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, helping the Seminoles to a team victory in a field that featured eleven ranked squads, resulting in the team’s first No. 1 ranking by Golfstat in school history.
Lebioda closed out the month with another second place finish at the FGCU Classic.
A junior, Lebioda posted a scoring average of 69.44 for the month. He is currently ranked No. 16 nationally by Golfweek and No. 22 by Golfstat.
The last Seminole to be named ACC Golfer of the Month was current PGA golfer Daniel Berger for the month of February in 2013.
