Lusenhop Leads Florida State Men’s Golf Team To Ninth Place Standing At Windon Memorial

Florida State junior Brad Lusenhop is in a tie for 24th-place in the individual standings and the Seminole men’s golf team is in a tie for ninth place in the team standings following the completion of the first two rounds of the Windon Memorial Classic at the Glen View Club. The first two rounds (36 holes) of the three-round tournament were played Monday.

Lusenhop shot a one-under par 71 in the second round to move up from his 46th place individual standing after the first round of the day. He improved his second round score by six strokes after carding a five-over par score of 77 in the first round. Lusenhop’s round of 71 is the best of his five rounds this fall.

Sophomore Alan Beers is the second highest-ranking Seminole with a two-round total of 149 and an individual standing of tied for 29th. His best round of the day came during the first 18 holes as he carded a one-over par 73.

Junior Rusty Mosley, who totaled a six-over par 150 for the first two rounds of the event, trails Beers by only one stroke. He carded a one-under par 71 in the first round and was tied for eighth after the first 18 holes of the day.

The final round of the 13-team event begins Tuesday at 8 a.m. Florida State is looking for its third consecutive top-10 finish this season.
