Manning Named ACC Women’s Swimming & Diving Rookie Of The Year

Florida State freshman Tiffany Manning was named Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Rookie of the Year, as announced by the league office on Tuesday evening. The honor caps off an impressive freshman season for Manning, who hails from Mission Viejo, Calif., that included an All-America performance on the platform at the 2002 NCAA championships.

At the NCAAs, Manning placed seventh on the platform with a score of 419.20 to earn All-America status. Manning was the only Lady Seminole to earn All-America first team honors in 2002. She also competed on the one and three-meter boards which she placed 27th and 23rd, respectively.

In addition, Manning had a successful outing at the ACC championships. For the meet, she placed second on the three-meter and third on the one-meter.
