Describe your summer at Florida State?
Antionette Howard:
It’s been fun, but at the same time we’ve been working hard, everyone has been getting better. At first the workouts were a little tough, but we’re getting used to them and they are getting better and better as we go along.
Christian Hunnicutt: It’s been fun. We’ve been bonding with the team. It’s been a breeze so far.
Courtney Ward: We’ve been working hard, doing what we’ve got to do, getting focused and preparing for the fall.

How tough has it been to be away from home?
Antionette Howard: It’s been tough, but with the group that we have the team feels like a family so it makes it a little bit better.
Christian Hunnicutt: It’s not as hard. Like Antionette said, the girls we have, we’re like a family. We’re like sisters so we all take care of each other. It’s a home away from home.
Courtney Ward: It’s been kind of tough. This is our first year here and we’re not used to being away from home, but the teammates are cool to hang around with so they’ve made it easier.

What has been the toughest part?
Antionette Howard: Being away from home. And then the workouts are much different from high school workouts, but you just have to get used to it.
Christian Hunnicutt: The workouts. We worked hard in high school, but it’s nothing compared to the college level.
Courtney Ward: The workouts. It’s nothing like high school. We didn’t do any of the weight training in high school.

How will this summer give you a leg up for school and basketball in the fall?
Antionette Howard: It gets ahead in school. It lets us get used to the classes. The workouts prepare us for what we have to look forward to.
Christian Hunnicutt: It’s going to get us in shape. We weren’t in the best of shape when we first got here. If it wasn’t for the summer, by the time the fall came we would all be out of whack.
Courtney Ward: I think it’s going to help us out a lot. It helps to learn your way around campus.

How have the upperclassmen helped you?
Antionette Howard: They’ve been really. Some of them have cooked for us or driven us around. What ever we’ve needed they’ve been very helpful.
Christian Hunnicutt: They’ve told us to always work hard and never give up.
Courtney Ward: Like Antionette said they’re take us wherever we need to go, they tell us anything we need to know and help us all around
