Meghan King Earns Eighth ACC Weekly Honor

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Following a week that included the third no-hitter of her career, redshirt senior Meghan King was recognized as the ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday. King joined North Carolina’s Brittany Pickett in earning pitching accolades from the ACC this week.

It is the eighth time in King’s career, and the third of the 2019 season, that she has earned weekly accolades from the conference.

King won a pair of games against Notre Dame on March 15 and 17, which was receiving votes last week in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll. The redshirt senior was 2-0 in the circle with a 0.70 ERA and allowed the Irish to bat .088 against her as she gave up just one run on three hits with zero walks and five strikeouts on the weekend. King retired 29 of the last 32 batters she faced as the Seminoles won the series against the Irish.
