Florida State’s group of five will include sophomore Corey Carlson, redshirt senior Cristobal Del Solar, redshirt junior Harry Ellis, redshirt freshman Jonathan Keppler and senior Josh Lee. Freshman Greyson Porter will also make his FSU debut.

The tournament boasts seven teams ranked in the Golfweek Top 50, including FSU (28), Jacksonville (47), Arkansas (31), Florida (3), Liberty (41), North Carolina (19) and UNF (34).

Del Solar is ready to build off his previous season where he earned All-ACC honors. Del Solar led the Seminoles with a 70.78 scoring average in the fall. He is joined by Lee as the team’s seniors making the trip.

Ellis enjoyed a solid fall campaign, finishing second in scoring average at 71.56 and tying for fifth at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate, shooting a 2-under 208. Carlson has proven to be able to consistently shoot good scores, while Keppler debuted in the fall and produced some strong rounds of play.

Porter, a freshman from Clearwater, Fla., won the Florida Junior title at TPC Sawgrass and has good experience playing the course. He is the reigning Tampa Bay Times Player of the Year and a three-time Tampa Bay Times First Team player.

According to the latest Golfweek strength of schedule rankings, FSU’s competition throughout the spring season is ranked 14th. FSU last competed at the Sea Best Invitational on Feb. 2-3, 2015, finishing in fifth place.

Monday’s tournament will mark the fifth time FSU has competed at the course in Ponte Vedra Beach, beginning in 2002 when it was called the Mercedes Benz Championship.
