TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Men’s Golf team fired another strong round on Monday afternoon at the Cabo Collegiate Invitational and hold a first-place tie with Oklahoma State at 18-under (272-278).
The Seminoles combined to shoot 6-under in the second round, led by Frederik Kjettrup who carded a 4-under 67. He is tied at fourth in the tournament with a 7-under score, recording his fifth round in the 60s in the 2021-22 year. Kjettrup is only three strokes off from tournament leader Chase Sienkiewicz (-10) of Arizona.
Despite starting his second round with a bogey on the first hole, Kjettrup finished with five birdies and 12 pars the rest of the way. He has the opportunity to finish inside the Top 3 for the third time in his last four tournaments played.
Sophomore Brett Roberts recorded a 68 on Monday and is 11th at 6-under. He added four birdies and just one bogey. He is among the tournament leaders at 2-under on par 3 holes.
Playing as an individual, freshman Patrick McCann continues to impress after shooting a 2-under 69. He is tied for 12th at 5-under. McCann is shooting 7-under on par 4 holes, a score that leads the entire field.
Dan Bradbury continues his stellar play, sitting in a tie for 20th at 3-under and shooting an even-par 71. Cole Anderson is 2-under overall and tied for 27th, while Michael Sakane is tied for 38th at even par.
The Seminoles lead the field in both par 3 scoring (-3) and par 5 scoring (-17), and have also totaled the most pars in the tournament at 114.
