WEST POINT, Miss. (Seminoles.com) – The 18th-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf Team was the biggest mover of the final round at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, moving up nine spots to finish tied for seventh on Tuesday afternoon at Mossy Oak Golf Course in West Point, Miss.
The Seminoles shot 9-under in the final round, bolstered by a 6-under 66 by senior Dan Bradbury and a 5-under 67 by sophomore Brett Roberts.
Senior Michael Sakane was among the highest finishing Seminoles as he tied for 31st at 1-over (75-70-72). Roberts also ended at 1-over (78-72-67), using six birdies in the final round which included a front-nine 32 where he had five of those six birdies.
Bradbury’s 66 moved him up 42 spots on the leaderboard, tying for 37th at 2-over (75-77-66). He had a remarkable back nine on the course, shooting a 31 with five birdies on holes 10-18.
Sophomore Frederik Kjettrup tied for 54th at 5-over (77-70-74).
Vanderbilt won the Mossy Oak Collegiate at 25-under, while Auburn (-13), LSU (-10), Mississippi State (-10) and Kansas State (-3) finished in the Top 5.
Florida State prepares for the upcoming ACC Men’s Golf Championship held April 22-25 at Shark’s Tooth Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.
The match play portion of the ACC Men’s Golf Championship will air on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) on Sunday, April 24, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. as well as the final round on Monday, April 25, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
