TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The 10th-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf team hosts the 45th Seminole Intercollegiate in what will be a loaded field at Golden Eagle Country Club on Friday-Sunday.
While the schedule is subject to change, Friday’s opening round is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on holes 1 and 10. Teams will also tee off on Saturday and Sunday in the three-round setup. An outstanding field comes to Tallahassee which includes No. 1 Oklahoma, 10th-ranked FSU, No. 13 Oklahoma State No. 18 Duke and No. 25 Liberty.
Other programs involved in this weekend’s tournament are No. 28 UNF, No. 37 USF, No. 47 Georgia Southern. Jacksonville, NC State, West Virginia, FGCU, James Madison and Troy.
The Seminoles will go with Brett Roberts (9:45 a.m. on Friday), Cole Anderson (9:54 a.m.), Frederik Kjettrup (10:03 a.m.), John Pak (10:12 a.m.) and Vincent Norrman (10:21 a.m.) as their starting five. An addition FSU team will also compete in Fletcher Wunderlich (10:30 a.m.), Connor Futrell (10:39 a.m.), Calvin Sierota (10:48 a.m.), Jamie Li (10:57 a.m.) and Greyson Porter (11:06 a.m.).
The Seminole Intercollegiate is in its 45th year being played, starting in the 1969-70 season. It is the fourth consecutive year that Golden Eagle Country Club is hosting the event.
The home tournament for FSU will be its third played in the spring. The Seminoles started strong by winning the Camp Creek Seminole Invitational on Jan. 19, and followed with a sixth-place finish at the Timuquana Collegiate on Jan. 26.
