Men’s Golf Ready for Cabo Collegiate Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Men’s Golf is back in Los Cabos, Mexico, for the eighth straight year as it participates in the Cabo Collegiate Invitational held at the Cove Club from Feb. 27-March 1.

The Seminoles will play in their third tournament of the spring season, winning the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on Feb. 15 and finishing 10th at the Watersound Invitational on Feb. 22.

The 15-team field in Cabo includes 11 ranked in the Top 50. The ranked teams are No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 6 Texas Tech, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 8 Stanford, No. 10 Tennessee, No. 16 Ole Miss, No. 20 Alabama, No. 21 Vanderbilt, No. 28 Arizona and No. 41 Florida State.

The other schools competing are Cal, Houston, Baylor and Rice.

Sophomore Frederik Kjettrup is off to a good start in the spring, shooting a 71.60 and placing third at the Watersound Invitational after carding a 5-under 211.

FSU will have six golfers competing, as Kjettrup, Michael Sakane, Dan Bradbury, Brett Roberts, Cole Anderson and Patrick McCann (individual) will represent the Garnet and Gold. The first round is a shot-gun format with each group beginning at 10 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. MT.
