Chapel Hill, NC – The Seminole men’s tennis team wrapped up its regular season facing its seventh ranked opponent and fourth ranked in the top 10. FSU was in Chapel Hill, NC facing No. 3 UNC where the squad pushed another top five opponent. The Seminoles were tied 2-2 and playing one third set and in a tie-breaker to go into another before falling 4-2.
After dropping the doubles point 2-0, the Seminoles were up against three ranked singles players. The Seminoles evened the match up at 2-2 thanks to Marcus Walters and Andreja Petrovic. Walters took down the nation’s 87th-ranked singles player in straight sets 7-5, 6-2. On line five, Petrovic won in straight sets as well winning 6-4, 6-2. The Heels jumped back in front 3-2 with Loris Pourroy in a third set and Sebastian Arcila in a tie-breaker in the second set but the redshirt-junior was unable to push his match into a third for the decisive point for UNC.
