Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team heads to Georgia Tech on Friday to compete in the 2017 ITA Southeast Regional presented by Oracle. The Noles will be one of 15 teams competing in a field that includes seven teams that finished 2017 ranked in the Top-50. The Garnet and Gold will compete alongside Georgia, Florida, USF, UCF, Georgia State, UNF, FAU, Miami, Kennesaw State, FGCU, FAMU, Stetson, Mercer and host school Georgia Tech.
All eight Seminoles qualified for the main draw that begins on Saturday. Florida State is the only school to have their entire team qualify for the main draw.
Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with one round of singles and two rounds of doubles. Play will continue until the championship matches that take place on Tuesday.
The two regional finalists will earn an automatic bid into the Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships in Indian Wells, Calif. and will join redshirt seniors Lucas Poullain and Jose Gracia who qualified after winning the doubles consolation at the ITA All-American tournament a week ago.
