TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – This weekend the men’s tennis team will play host to the Cliff’s Invitational in Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina. Florida State will compete against Michigan, Louisville, Furman and Clemson beginning Friday, September 24.

“We have some very competitive teams coming to play in Traveler’s Rest,” said head coach Dwayne Hultquist. “I’m excited that all of our guys will have the opportunity to play this weekend. It’s a great time for us to evaluate each player’s game.”

The Seminoles will have an opportunity for everyone to compete this weekend including senior Vahid Mirzadeh (Wellington, Fla.).

“I’m really excited to get back to playing some competitive matches against some of the top schools that will be there,” said Mirzadeh. “It should be a fun and competitive weekend for all of us on the team that’s going up there.”

Florida State finished last season with a 15-10 record and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the eighth consecutive year.
