Tallahassee, Fla. –Incoming freshman, Ford McLiney (Kansas City, Mo.) closed out the competition by finishing 10th in the men’s platform event on Sunday, Aug. 14 at the AT&T Diving National Championships in Los Angeles, Calif., hosted by UCLA.
With his 10th place finish, McLiney has earned a spot in the 2012 Olympic Team Trials, which will be held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wa., June 18-24.

In addition, he placed 17th on the 1-meter and 29th on the 3-meter springboards.
Although qualifying for Olympic Trials in diving is slightly different than accomplishing the feat in swimming, the Seminoles will have a total of 14 representatives competing at Olympic Trials.

Also competing throughout the week was Nick Klein who finished sixth in the synchronized platform event and 18th in the individual platform.

For the ladies, Katrina Young finished 25th in the platform event and Kelsey Goodman placed 14th on the 3-meter and 29th on 1-meter springboards.

Marzullo and Radman are set in Shenzhan

Landon Marzullo is set to compete at the World University Games in Shenzhan, China at the Shenzhan Natatorium Aug.16 -22.

Marzullo has a full schedule, competing individually on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards as well as the platform event. He will also be starting off the competition with the synchronized 3-meter event.

Assistant Diving Coach Yahya Radman will also represent the United States as a coach.
