Florida State, ranked No. 1 in the Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches poll this week, heads down I-75 for a pair of games at No. 6 Florida. After two games in Gainesville, the Seminoles will host the Gators in Tallahassee on Sunday (2:00 p.m.). FSU defeated Western Carolina by scores of 13-3 and 3-0 on Tuesday and Wednseday. The Tribe needed some late inning heroics to defeat Siena on Thursday afternoon. Trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth, FSU scored two to tie it up and Bryan Zech knocked in Tony Richie in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 5-4 victory. The Seminoles have already played a pair of Top 10 teams this season, going 4-2 against Stanford and Arizona State in Tallahassee. LF Tony McQuade (.459) has been out the last two weeks with a groin injury and SS Stephen Drew (.346) has missed almost a month with a fractured left foot. Neither will play against Florida. A third starter, All-American Ryan Barthelemy (.415) has missed the last two games with the flu. He is expected to play this weekend.
