TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 14/20 ranked Florida State women’s tennis team (4-1) hosts a doubleheader this Saturday against Florida Gulf Coast (10 am) and UNF (3 pm) at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.
Florida State is a combined 13-1 against the two teams and holds a 2-0 record against FGCU. FSU beat Florida Gulf Coast 4-0 both times they played the Eagles and last did so in 2017. The Seminoles are 11-1 all-time against the Ospreys of North Florida. The Seminoles lone loss came back in 1988. The two foes faced off in the Gainesville regional a year ago when FSU won 4-0 to begin their trip to the Elite 8. Florida State has swept North Florida five times in their 12 meetings.
Last Time Out
Florida State was off last week, but before that, they went 1-1 during ITA Kick-Off Weekend. They lost to Tennessee 4-3 before bouncing back to sweep Clemson 4-0.

In the latest Oracle/ITA poll, Florida State comes in at No. 20. This marks the 16th straight week that the Noles have been ranked in the ITA Poll dating back to February 10, 2018. The Seminoles come in at No. 14 in this week’s USTA Poll.
The Seminoles have three ranked singles players (Carla Touly – 49, Ana Oparenovic – 103 and Emmanuelle Salas – 110).
