No. 18 Men’s Tennis Looks to Keep Home Streak Alive

Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 18 ranked Florida State men’s tennis team (7-2, 0-0) hosts a doubleheader on Saturday, February 22nd against Tennessee Tech (1-3) at 11:30 a.m. and Buffalo (2-3) at 4 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.  The Seminoles are 5-0 at home this season and look to continue their home winning streak.

The Seminoles come into the weekend leading 5-1 all-time over Tennessee Tech in a series that dates back to 1972.  The last meet up between the two teams was in Tallahassee in 2009 where the Noles came out on top 4-2.  This will be the Garnet and Gold’s first time taking on Buffalo.

Florida State is coming into this weekend’s play ranked No. 18 in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings.  The Noles lineup features two ranked singles players in seniors Alex Knaff No. 82 and Rana-Roop Singh Bhullar who comes in at No. 104.

Last Time Out
Florida State went up against Auburn on February 8th on the road at the Yarbough tennis Center.  The Seminoles battled to a 4-3 victory as Bhullar clinched the close match on court six.
