TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The No. 22/20 Florida State women’s tennis team (9-4) looks to get back on track after a loss to No. 42 Miami as they host two ACC foes this weekend. The Seminoles take on No. 46 NC State on Friday, March 16th at 5:30 p.m. and No. 1 North Carolina on Sunday, March 18th at 12 p.m.
Florida State leads the all-time series against NC State 24-4. Under head coach Jennifer Hyde the Garnet and Gold are 10-3 against the Wolfpack and have outscored them 61-27 in their 13 meetings including three shutout wins by the Noles. NC State is led by sophomore and No. 51 Anna Rodgers and sophomore Adrianna Reami. Rodgers is 10-4 in the spring with all of her matches played at the No. 1 position. Reami is 9-4 at the No. 2 position in the spring. She set a program record for wins with 19 in her freshman campaign. In doubles, the Wolfpack are led by the duo of Rodgers and junior Claudia Wiktorin. The pair is ranked No. 13 nationally and is 9-2 on the season at the No. 1 doubles position.
The Seminoles trail 15-28 in the all-time series against the Tar Heels. North Carolina has six ranked singles players and all three doubles pairs ranked. In singles, they are led by sophomore Makenna jones who is No. 12 in the country with a 9-2 record and a 7-1 record at the No. 1 position. The Tar Heels have two undefeated players with sophomores Sara Daavettila and Alexa Graham, who are both 14-0. In doubles, UNC is led by Graham and junior Jessie Aney, who have gone 9-1 at the No. 1 position this spring.

In the latest ITA poll, Florida State comes in at No. 22. In the USTA top-25, Florida State comes in at No. 20. The Seminoles also have one ranked singles player and one ranked Doubles pair. The duo of sophomore Andrea Garcia and freshman Petra Hule are ranked No. 53 and sophomore Carla Touly is ranked No. 54 in this week’s Oracle/ITA rankings.
