No. 24 Women’s Tennis Sweeps UNF 4-0

Tallahassee, FL – The 24th-ranked FSU women’s tennis team took a midweek match from UNF Tuesday afternoon. The Seminoles rolled to a 4-0 win, which included a top 50 singles win by Petra Hule, to improve to 5-2 on the season before opening up ACC play.

FSU took a 1-0 lead with a 2-0 win in doubles. Olympe Lancelot and Lesedi Jacobs got the Seminoles their first win with a 6-4 victory. It was the pair’s second consecutive win in doubles. Hule and Anna Arkadianou were off next with a 6-3 win to clinch the point and move to 3-0 on the year together.

Hule got a big win on court one in singles to put the Seminoles up 2-0. The nation’s 22nd-ranked singles player defeated No. 32 in the nation in impressive fashion with a 6-2, 6-1 victory moving to 6-0 in duals at line one. Kianah Motosono put FSU up 3-0 with a straight set win of her own winning 6-3, 6-1. The Oklahoma transfer is now off to a 4-1 start to the dual match season. Arkadianou then closed the match out on court four with a 6-3, 6-4 win.
