TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –  (Seminoles.com) The third-ranked Florida State (21-0, 9-0) indoor volleyball team continues its road swing at NC State on Friday at 7 p.m. before heading to Clemson on Sunday at 1 p.m.

After jumping up a spot in the Week Nine AVCA Coaches Poll that was announced on Monday, the Seminoles have become the highest ranked team in ACC history thanks to a record-setting 21-0 winning streak. The stretch ties the school record which was set in 1981.

“It certainly is a lot of pressure,” FSU Head Coach Chris Poole said. “We’ve got a lot of talent on this team, they’re putting in a lot of work and it’s great to see the recognition they deserve.”

Last weekend, Florida State erased an 0-2 deficit in order to defeat Pittsburgh on the road before topping Wake Forest 3-1. In result, the Seminoles swept the ACC weekly honors with junior outside hitter Nicole Walch taking her second Player of the Week while right side hitter Milica Kubura earned her second Freshman of the Week honor.

The Seminoles will face the Wolfpack for the second time this season after sweeping them on Oct. 12.  Since the last meeting, NC State has gone 1-3 dropping two contests in five sets. Florida State owns the series lead 43-5.

Following Friday’s contest, FSU will take on Clemson for the first time this season on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Tigers are 17-5 on the year and 4-5 in conference play. Florida holds the series lead 30-20.

“We knew this was going to be a tough stretch having back-to-back road trips,” Poole said. “Being it’s in the middle of October, we’re dealing with midterms and grades and the stress of being a student. It’s up to us to try and manage it the best we can and do what we need to do.”

On Monday, redshirt senior libero Katie Mosher was named a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award.  Fans can vote once per day until Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. The winner will be chosen at the Final Four in December.
