Noles Begin Outdoor Season at Miami and Auburn

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State track and field program begins their outdoor season this weekend at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, Fla., and the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala. The Noles will send the men’s sprints group to Miami while the distance runners, the jumpers and the throwers are heading to Auburn.

The Noles are looking to defend their ACC title that both the men and women won last season. The Noles are coming off a solid indoor season where the men finished second at the ACC Indoor Championships and the women finished seventh. The Noles also had their first indoor national champion since 2014 in Trey Cunningham.

Action will begin at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Tiger Track Classic with the men’s hammer throw. The group at Miami will not begin until Saturday at 2 p.m. with the 400m dash.
