TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State (19-12) hosts Florida (21-13) Tuesday at Dick Howser Stadium in the third installment of the Fresh From Florida Sunshine Showdown. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m. and stream live on ACC Network Extra. Fans in Tallahassee can listen on 106.1 FM and nationwide on the FSU Gameday App.

Sophomore pitcher Conor Grady will get the start for the Seminoles. Grady pitched 3.0 innings in Gainesville against the Gators, allowing three hits and no runs in a no decision. On the season, Grady leads FSU with five wins out of the bullpen, including Sunday at Miami as FSU won the series finale. Grady struck out the only batter he faced before FSU took the lead in the eighth inning.

Pending a match-up between the programs in the postseason, Tuesday will be the final 153rd and final game for FSU head coach Mike Martin against Florida. He enters the game with a 76-76 all-time record against the Gators.

Last weekend, FSU dropped the first two games of the series at Miami before salvaging Sunday’s finale with a 6-5 win. J.C. Flowers hit a solo home run and earned the save for FSU, the fourth time in 2019 he has done both in the same game. Flowers also earned his second outfield assists of the season and added an RBI on sacrifice bunt.

Freshman Alec Sanchez had three hits Sunday, twice as many as he entered the game with. He reached on a double, a single and a bunt single. Jonah Scolaro, Grady and Flowers combined to allow just one run in 5.2 innings of work Sunday.

Florida enters the weekend having been swept by Ole Miss, getting outscored 40-18. On the season, Florida is 1-7 on the road.

Mike Salvatore leads FSU with a .323 batting average and 29 RBI. The senior shortstop played the first 27 games of the season at second base before making the switch across the diamond. He has already surpassed his 2018 RBI total (27 in 62 games).
