Noles In The NFL: Week 6


Anquan Boldin scored a touchdown for the victorious Lions, Lamarcus Joyner and Nigel Bradham paced their respective teams on defense and Dustin Hopkins made a young fan’s day during Week 6 of the NFL slate.

Here’s a lap around the league for the Noles in the NFL :


Buffalo 45, San Francisco 16
Bills: CB Ronald Darby started, made three tackles and defended a pass. TE Nick O’Leary caught two passes for 29 yards. QB EJ Manuel was 0 for 2 passing and carried three times for 11 yards. LS Garrison Sanborn handled long-snapping duties. RB James Wilder Jr. (head) is on injured reserve.
49ers: DT Cornellius Carradine made one tackle. QB Christian Ponder was inactive.

Jacksonville 17, Chicago 16
Jaguars: LB Telvin Smith started and made eight tackles (one for loss). CB Jalen Ramsey started, made two tackles and defended a pass.
Bears: LB Christian Jones started, made two tackles and defended a pass. DT Eddie Goldman (ankle) was inactive.

Detroit 31, Los Angeles 28
Lions: WR Anquan Boldin started and caught eight passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Rams: DB Lamarcus Joyner started, made 10 tackles and defended a pass before leaving the game with an injury.

Miami 30, Pittsburgh 15
Steelers: LB Vince Williams started and made six tackles (one for loss). LB Lawrence Timmons started and had five tackles. RB Karlos Williams was signed to the practice squad this week.

New England 35, Cincinnati 17
Patriots: OL Tre’ Jackson (knee) is on injured reserve, but is eligible to return this week.

New Orleans 41, Carolina 38
Saints: CB P.J. Williams (neck) is on injured reserve.
Panthers: WR Kelvin Benjamin started and caught eight passes for 86 yards. K Graham Gano was 1 for 1 on field goals (42 yards) and 3 for 4 on extra point attempts.

New York Giants 27, Baltimore 23
Giants: OL Bobby Hart started at right tackle for the second straight game.
Ravens: DT Timmy Jernigan started and made two tackles.

Tennessee 28, Cleveland 26
Titans: OL Josue Matias (knee) is on injured reserve.
Browns: C Cameron Erving started after missing the last few weeks with an injury. DT Nile Lawrence-Stample (shoulder) is on injured reserve.

Washington 27, Philadelphia 20
Redskins: RB Chris Thompson carried nine time for 37 yards and caught three passes for 29 yards. K Dustin Hopkins was 2 for 2 on field goals (50, 32 yards) and 3 for 3 on extra points.
Eagles: LB Nigel Bradham started, made 10 tackles and defended a pass. S Terrence Brooks played but did not record any statistics.

Noles In The NFL: Week 6

Kansas City 26, Oakland 10
Chiefs: LB Terrance Smith is on the practice squad.
Raiders: C Rodney Hudson started up front. K Sebastian Janikowski was 1 for 2 on field goals (make from 46 yards, wide left from 52 yards) and was 1 for 1 on extra points. OT Menelik Watson (groin) was inactive. DE Mario Edwards Jr. (hip) is on injured reserve but is eligible to return next week.

Dallas 30, Green Bay 16
Packers: DT Letroy Guion started, made two tackles and had a quarterback hurry.

Seattle 26, Atlanta 24
Falcons: RB Devonta Freeman started and totaled 50 yards (40 rushing on 12 carries; 10 receiving on three catches).

Houston 26, Indianapolis 23 (OT)
Colts: CB Patrick Robinson (knee and hip) was inactive.

Bye weeks: Minnesota, Tampa Bay
Vikings: CB Xavier Rhodes has four tackles, an interception and three passes defended in his last two games after missing the start of the season with an injury. He used his bye week to visit Florida State over the weekend and was on the sidelines during the Seminoles’ win over Wake Forest.
Buccaneers: QB Jameis Winston has thrown for 1,327 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions in leading the Bucs to a 2-3 record to start the year. K Roberto Aguayo is 4 for 8 on field goal attempts, and hit his first game-winner in last week’s victory on Monday Night Football.
