GREENSBORO, N.C.  –   The No. 25 Florida State swimming and diving team had three swims on the third day of the 2021 NCAA Women’s Swimming Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The Seminoles were paced by sophomore Tania Quaglieri, who finished in 18th place in the 100 back with a time of 52.45, which was just off her best of 52.17.

Senior Emma Terebo led heat three of the 100 back from start to finish, touching with a season best time of 52.97, which was just off her personal best of 52.79 set last season.

Freshman Jenny Halden started the session off for the Noles, turning in a time of 52.46 for 30th place.

“We had a really good morning session,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “The ladies swam fast and got their best prelim times, ever. We were just shy of scoring with Tania as a second alternate.”

Terebo and Quaglieri will compete in prelims of the 100 free on Saturday.

Prelims will start at 10 am and the top 16 swimmers from the morning heats will advance to finals, that start at 6 p.m. All sessions will be streamed via Watch ESPN and live timing will be available.
