Noles Ready for Garnet vs. Gold

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  –  The Florida State swimming and diving teams will host its annual Garnet vs. Gold exhibition on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Morcom Aquatics Center.

The meet will kick off various events scheduled for alumni weekend. The meet is open to the public and admission is free.

“I’m excited to see some racing and knock some of the rust off,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “It’s always fun to see your new athletes race for the first time and see what we need to fix ahead of the season.”

Both squads have split into two teams and have been competing against each other all week in various challenges.

The meet will feature 15 swimming events, including the 100s and 200s of each stroke in addition to the 50 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 100 IM and 200 IM.  The teams will also compete in the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
