BRADENTON, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team had a Sunday to remember as they took how two championships at the Dick Vitale Collegiate Clay Court Invitational.
The day began with sophomore Chase Wood and freshman Richard Thongoana competing in the doubles main draw championship match. The Seminole duo earned their fourth straight match victory as they took down Mrcelo Tebet and Mateo Ruiz of Florida Gulf Coast 8-5. This was Wood’s third career fall championship and second career doubles fall championship.
The Garnet and Gold finished the day with their second championship as junior Enzo Le Seguillon won his fourth straight singles match to win the consolation singles championship. He took down Emilie Hudd of Oklahoma State in dominating fashion 6-0, 6-3.
Florida State will be back in competition on Wednesday, November 7 as junior Alex Knaff and sophomore Sebastian Arcila compete in the Fall Championship doubles bracket.
