Noles Wrap Up Day One Of The Destin Invitational

Destin, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team completed day one of the Battle at the Beach in Destin, Fla. on Friday. The Seminoles went 2-1 in doubles and 3-1 in singles.

The day began with one round of doubles play starting with sophomore Juan Martin Jalif and freshman Loris Pourroy losing to LSU 8-4. Senior Rana-Roop Singh Bhullar and junior Enzo Le Seguillon defeated LSU 9-7 resulting in a tie-breaker to 7. Rana and Enzo sealed the doubles point 7-4 heading into singles play.

Le Seguillon kicked off singles against Tulane with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Pourroy and Jalif followed shortly after winning both of their matches. Pourroy earned his first win as a Seminole with a 6-2, 6-4 win and Jalif got a 6-4, 6-3 win of his own. Bhullar finished up the day with a back and forth three-set match ultimately ending in a 5-2, 2-6, 6-1 loss to Tulane.

The Seminoles return to action Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with doubles against Oklahoma. That will be followed by singles play against LSU.
