TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Edidiong Odiong picked up another ACC honor on Tuesday afternoon, as the conference announced her as the Women’s Co-Track Performer of the week. This is the first time Odiong has been honored in the outdoor season, but she picked up the honor in the indoor season on Jan. 18.
“Edidiong has become a dominant sprint force in the ACC. She has had a really good start to the outdoor season, and we are excited for the rest of her season,” Head Coach Bob Braman said.
Odiong has had a phenomenal start to the 2022 outdoor season. This past weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays, Odiong ran a personal best in the 200m dash (23.15) with no aiding wind to claim the top time in the ACC and the 14th-best time in the nation. Odiong already clocked in the top time in 100m dash at the FSU Relays on Mar. 25 with a time of 11.28. That time moved her to No. 7 on FSU’s all-time list and puts her at No. 11 in the country. Odiong is just one of two female athletes to lead the the conference in two separate events.
