TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Florida State’s women’s tennis head coach Jennifer Hyde announced Thursday, July 16, Oliver Foreman has been elevated to associate head coach. Throughout his four years at FSU, Foreman has helped the Seminoles reach a higher ranking each year as well as positioning the squad as one of the nation’s powerhouses.

“I am so very excited to promote Oliver Foreman to associate head coach of our women’s tennis program,” Hyde said. “Oliver has been tremendously loyal to me and to Florida State University, and after earning the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year honors this past season, it seemed perfectly fitting to advance Oliver and recognize him and his efforts at Florida State. I look forward to continuing to work with Oliver for years to come.”

In his fourth season with the Garnet and Gold, Foreman became one of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s most reputable coaches and was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with the ITA Regional and National Assistant Coach of the Year award. Alongside Hyde, Foreman guided the team to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and back-to-back semifinal appearances in the ACC Tournament.

Hyde and Foreman’s dynamic coaching skills showed this past season when Florida State defeated in-state rival Florida for the first time in program history.

“I am absolutely thrilled with this promotion,” Foreman said. “It’s really the icing on top of the cake with what has happened for me over the past three months. It has been an unbelievable summer for my career, and I would like to thank Jennifer Hyde for all her support. With this promotion will come more challenges, and I look forward to continuing to help the Florida State Seminoles achieve more history and bring home some championships.”
