P.H.A.T. Tuesday’s (Peers Helping Athletes Transition) is a SAAC hosted program that targets first year student-athletes. The goal of the program is to assist student-athletes with appropriately and effectively transitioning between high school and college. As a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, members serve as peer leaders at each session to provide helpful information, firsthand experience, and answer any questions that new student-athletes may have.

P.H.A.T. Tuesday’s are held every Tuesday during the month of September in which first year students are engaged in interactive discussion and lecture about becoming acclimated to college life and life as a student-athlete. This year’s P.H.A.T. consisted of five weekly meetings, each with a different theme; stress and time management, Branded a Seminole, leadership and bystanders, campus resources, and sports psychology. Additionally, for the first time, the Seminole Spirit Groups, Cheer and the Golden Girls, were able to participate in this year’s programming.

P.H.A.T Tuesday’s are a great way for first year student-athletes to become acquainted with each other; to learn more about the campus and what resources are available to them, as well as have some fun and eat good food!
