TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Two Florida State Men’s Golf student-athletes in Jamie Li and John Pak have been named to the PING Southeast All-Region Team, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The two outstanding golfers led the Seminoles in their shortened season, with Pak shooting a 69.40 scoring average while Li shot 70.39 in his senior year. Pak, a Scotch Plains, N.J., native, ended the shortened season as the fourth-ranked collegiate golfer by the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.
Li’s 70.39 scoring average in 2019-20 ranks as the fifth-lowest by a Seminole. He shot a career-low -0.78 average vs. par in six tournaments played, and finished the collegiate season ranked 44th overall by Golfstat and 69th by Golfweek.
Pak has enjoyed seven career wins at FSU, already the second-most in program history. Li, who hails from Bath, England, sprung together three Top-10 finishes as a senior. In each of his four years with FSU, Li’s scoring average has lowered to highlight his immense improvement from his freshman to senior year with the Seminoles.
