Cummings Stays Hot

Senior guard Monte Cummings scored in double-digits for his third-straight game with 20 points today. He had a career-high 28 against Cleveland State and scored 16 at Wake Forest, leading the Seminoles in scoring in all three games. Cummings is now averaging a team-best 21.3 points in the last three games.

Season Highs For Seniors

Senior Antwuan Dixon turned in a season-high for points with 17. Dixon was 7-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. Another season-high came for senior point guard Delvon Arrington, who dished out 12 assists. Arrington’s previous season-high for assists came against Cleveland State with nine. His career-high of 13 came against Georgia Tech in 1999.

Movin’ On Up

Senior point guard Delvon Arrington had 12 assists in today’s game, giving him 564 for his career. This moves him into 24th-place on the ACC career assist list, passing Duke’s Johnny Dawkins (1983-86) who had 555-career assist.

10-Straight Points For Antwuan Dixon

Senior Antwuan Dixon provided a huge spark for the Seminoles in the second half. Trailing by 11 points, Dixon nailed a three-pointer and then went on to score the next seven points for the Tribe, including another three and a dunk off an offensive rebound. Dixon has now hit a three-pointer in all nine games for the Seminoles and has made at least two three-pointers in seven games this season.

New Kid On The Block

Junior forward Mike Mathews had three blocks in today’s game, giving him 61 for his career. Mathews now moves into 11th-place on the FSU career-blocks list. Blocks weren’t the only highlight for Mathews, as he scored a season-high 10 points.
