2000 SEASON: The 2000 campaign was the best season in the history of Florida State soccer. The Seminoles finished the season with the fewest defeats ever and tied for the most wins in a season. The Seminoles knocked off four teams ranked in the Top 20 and finished the regular season with the best home record ever and the second best road record in the program’s history. Florida State also posted their best ACC mark in their six years in the Conference.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES: The Seminoles turn-around this season is one of the best stories in college soccer. The Seminoles have shattered numerous school records this year but it is impossible to understand their turnaround without looking at how far the 2000 Seminoles have come in just one season. Florida State had either a positive or even turnaround against 13 of the 15 opponents they played in 1999 and 2000 and one of the two negatives (South Alabama) was still a win. The Seminoles record went from 4-10-1 against this group in 1999 to 10-4-1 this season. FSU had a 32 goal turn-around this season. Add that to the Seminoles first-time victories against six opponents this year and this has really been a magical season for FSU.
