ATLANTA, Ga. – A pair of Seminoles earned top eight positions in Friday morning’s preliminary session at the 2011 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships.
The Seminole’s opened prelims by placing four swimmers in the top 16 of the 400 individual medley. The team was paced by junior Jessica Sabotin, who placed sixth (4:16.84). She was immediately followed by freshman Julia Henkel in seventh (4:17.62). Junior Charlotte Broadbent was 11th (4:19.39) and freshman McKayla Lighbourn who was 12th (4:19.89).
Senior C.J. Hendry qualifed 10th for the Garnet and Gold in the 100 fly (54.61) and senior Holly Mills will enter the evening seeded 12th in the 200 free (1:48.49). Junior Tori Richmond also qualified 12th in the 100 breast (1:02.61), while junior Stephanie Sarandos earned the same spot in the 100 back (54.92).
