TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Redshirt senior Clara Robbins became the first Seminole to earn an ACC Weekly honor this season, taking home ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Robbins was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week after helping lead the Seminoles to two ACC road wins last week with a 4-1 win over Pitt and a 4-3 win over No. 11 Virginia.
Robbins exploded on offense against No. 11 Virginia scoring two goals in the Seminoles first ranked win of the season. Her two goals were also the first two goals of her career.
She grabbed her first goal in the 13th minute on a Jaelin Howell assist. Robbins capped off the game by scoring the game-winner in the 81st minute off of a Yujie Zhao corner kick.
Robbins has contributed to the Seminoles’ offensive explosion this season as she has now recorded two goals and two assists on the year. Florida State has scored 22 goals in six games this season breaking the program’s previous record of 16 through the first six conference games.
Florida State is off this weekend before they cap off the regular season at home against Duke (Oct. 29) and Clemson (Nov. 1).
