TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Third-year sophomore Robby Martin hit .550 with three doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI to earn Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors. Martin slugged 1.150 and had 11 total hits to help lead Florida State to a perfect week against No. 5 Florida (10-2) and a three-game sweep at No. 6 Miami (13-1, 9-1, 12-0).

Against Florida, Martin had his first career multi-home run game, hitting a three-run bomb in the first inning and adding a two-run shot in the sixth inning. It was his second straight game with five RBI, a season high.
In Coral Gables, Martin scored a career-high four runs in the opener, with his first two doubles of the season and a single. Saturday, he added two more hits and another RBI double. In the finale, he had an RBI single in the first inning, a solo home run in the third and a two-run single in the fourth inning.
Over the past four games, Martin has seen his average jump from .250 to .338.
This is the second Player of the Week honor in Martin’s career. He joins Parker Messick (pitcher, 3/8) with ACC recognition this year.
