Mary Beth Ramsay is enjoying the best season of her career as a member of the Seminole women’s golf team. As one of two senior members of the team, she has played in a career high six events and is working toward helping the Seminoles to their school-record eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in May. Between preparing for graduation and the Seminoles’ participation in the Bryan National Collegiate, she sat down with and talked about Lil Wayne, Condoleezza Rice and her trip last year to Vietnam.

What is your favorite song on your IPod right now?
Drop the World by Lil Wayne

Rate yourself 1-10 on how weird you are.
“I’m a 0. Everyone else is weird.”

Do you have any embarrassing talents or bad habits?
“Ha-ha. I would say a bad habit is that I’m superstitious. If I play well, I’ll probably be eating the same thing the next morning.”

What was the best part of your lunch as a child?
“Fruit Roll Ups! And I loved when my mom or sisters would write me notes.”

Are you clean or messy?
“I would say that my apartment is an organized mess. I’m a bit messy but nothing too bad.”

What was your favorite movie as a child?
“Mulan. That might still be my favorite movie.”

If you could be an animal, what would it be?
“I would be a bird. I would love to fly. And I would live on a golf course.”

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
“You can’t go wrong with classic chocolate.”

What is your favorite holiday?
“I really like Thanksgiving because all my family is together and there’s always good food.”

If you could be anyone in the world for a day, who would you be?,br>
“Condoleezza Rice. She’s an awesome woman and role model. She’s intelligent and handles herself well.”

Would you rather watch a scary movie or a comedy?
“I love scary movies. I can always appreciate a good Saw movie.”

What was your dream-job as a child?
“It was either to be an astronaut or a pharmacist. I wanted to be a pharmacist because that’s what my mother is.”

If you had to change your name, what would it be?
“When I was 13 I was determined to change my name to Elizabeth Ann. I have no idea why now. I like my name now though. It’s a little different and unique.”

If you had to live somewhere else where would it be?
“I love Vietnam. The food is amazing. I would miss my family terribly though.”

Are you superstitious?
“I am quite superstitious. But mostly when it comes to golf. I like using the same coins to mark my balls, the same numbers on the same days, and the same food on the same holes. The list goes on, believe me.”

If you had a time machine, where would you go?
“I would love to meet my grandfather – my father’s father. I think that I would go back to 1970 and play golf with my father and my grandfather. I hope the time machine can fit my golf clubs.”

Do you have a favorite sport other than golf?
“I really like to watch football and baseball and I like playing basketball.”

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
“I would by an F150 Harley Davidson edition. Also anything my family wants because they’ve provided for me for my life and I would love to give back.”

What would I find in your fridge right now?
“Lots of pickles and condiments. I don’t have much food as we are currently traveling for golf.”

What has been your most bizarre life experience?
My life is pretty bizarre. But probably when I traveled to Vietnam. Everything went wrong and I kind of just had to sit back and laugh.”

Never have I ever…
“Traveled to every continent.”

The next time you cook a meal for someone, what are you going you make?
“Probably some chicken parmesan. Sounds delicious right now.”

Who is you current celebrity crush?
“I like Paul Wesley from Vampire Diaries.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
“I hope to be working for the PGA or AJGA with a husband and a +2 handicap. A girl can dream.”

Do you have any hidden talents?
I wish.
