Sophomore guard Deividas Dulkys scored 22 points on a perfect four-of-four shooting performance from the 3-point line to lead six Seminoles in double figure scoring in Florida State’s 118-55 victory over C.B. Alginet for its second consecutive win during its four-game, 11-day trip of Spain. All-American Solomon Alabi scored 19 points for the second consecutive game as the Seminoles won their second game in a 24-hour span following a 101-53 victory over Eurocolegio Cavsi Villaviciosa de Oden on Friday in Madrid.

The Seminoles are 2-0 and are averaging nearly 110 points per game on offense while surrendering only 54 points per game on defense.

The Seminoles took control of the game in the first half with a 17-10 lead after the first quarter and a 51-24 lead at the intermission. Florida State continued to push the basketball on offense and played stingy defense to outscore Alginet by a 67-31 margin in the second half to gain the victory.

Dulkys began the scoring barrage early with a pair of made 3-point baskets in the second quarter. He was joined from the bonusphere by sophomore guard Luke Loucks who also hit two long range shots before halftime.

Alabi matched his total of 19 points from the Seminoles’ first game victory and now averages 19.0 points per game in the first two games of the Seminoles’ four game schedule.

Sophomore forward Chris Singleton scored a double-double of 17 points to go along with a team-high 12 rebounds. He was joined in double figure scoring by junior guard Jordan DeMercy (16 points) Loucks (14) and junior guard Derwin Kitchen (11). Kitchen added a team-high seven assists for the second consecutive game. Kitchen played a strong all-around game with six rebounds to go along with his 11 points and seven assists.

In addition to having six players score in double figures for the second consecutive game, the Seminoles received offensive and defensive contributions from all nine players on the trip. Senior forward Ryan Reid scored six points and pulled down six rebounds while sophomore Xavier Gibson scored five points and freshman guard Pierre Jordan added five points.

The Seminoles will spend three more days and play one more game in Valencia before playing their final game of their trip during a three day stay in Barcelona.
