The event runs from Oct. 18-20, with the first two days being stroke play followed by match play on the final day.
In the men’s field, Florida State will compete against Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Notre Dame and San Diego State. The Seminoles’ starting five includes Dan Bradbury, Connor Futrell, Frederik Kjettrup, Brett Roberts and Michael Mays, who will play in his first FSU event.
Television coverage will be provided each day. On Monday, the Stephens Cup will air on College Central as part of the GOLF Channel beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET. The second round on Tuesday airs from 4-7 p.m. ET on GOLF, followed by a replay shown on Wednesday from 8-11PM ET on GOLF.
The Seminoles are coming off a strong performance at the inaugural Barbara Nicklaus Cup, where the men and women teamed up in the mixed match-play event to win it all. Futrell and Kjettrup were the lone men’s players to finish undefeated, each going 2-0-1.
At the season-opening OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, Kjettrup led FSU by finishing tied for 20th. The native of Denmark shot 4-over for the tournament, opening with a 1-under 69.
Entering their third tournament of the fall season, Kjettrup, Bradbury and Roberts will be the three Seminoles whom have played in each event so far.
The Stephens Cup also includes a women’s team field: Baylor, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Virginia.
In addition to the schools competing for the Stephens Cup team titles, 12 individual (6 men and 6 women) collegiate players representing PGA Works, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the United States Service Academies will also compete in the stroke play portion of the tournament.
Following the Stephens Cup, FSU finishes with one more fall tournament at the Daniel Island Invitational held Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in South Carolina.
