Seminoles Conclude Final Day of Northwestern Invite

EVANSTON, Ill. – The No. 50 Florida State women’s tennis team completed its four-day opening weekend at the Northwestern Invite in Evanston, Ill., Sunday after facing a total of four teams; No. 6 Northwestern, No. 44 Iowa, No. 48 New Mexico and Penn State University.

The Seminoles played without 18th-ranked Carolin Walter, a junior standout who transferred to Florida State early last week. She is expected to return to the lineup when FSU makes its dual season debut against Auburn Sunday (Jan. 29) at noon.

As of press time, Florida State ended the Northwestern Invitational with a 3-11 singles mark and a 2-6 doubles record.
