After losing 3-2 in 10 innings to Florida on Saturday, the Seminoles bounced back to win 13-11 in Gainesville on Sunday. FSU took a 13-5 lead into the bottom of the ninth and withstood a late UF rally as Eric Roman came in from the bullpen to record the final three outs of the game as well as his first career save. Mike Futrell (3-for-4, 3 RBI) and John-Ford Griffin (3-for-6, 2 RBI) led FSU’s 16-hit barrage on Sunday. LF Griffin leads the team with a .433 batting average and 13 RBI. 1B Ryan Barthelemy ripped his first two home runs of the season at Florida and is second on the team with six RBI. Robby Read (Tuesday) and Marc LaMacchia (Wednesday) are the scheduled starters for the Tribe.

The Mountaineers lost their fifth straight game Sunday to Old Dominion by a score of 8-3. RHP Robbie Huffstetler (0-1, 4.50 ERA) and RHP Rodney Lemonds (1-1, 7.45 ERA) are scheduled to start on the mound for ASU on Tuesday and Wednesday. 1B Mike Lee leads Appalachian State at the plate with a .367 average, one home run and seven RBI.

Florida State leads the all-time series 4-0, which dates back to 1993. The Seminoles have swept the Mountaineers in a pair of two-game series. FSU won by scores of 8-2 and 8-1 in 2000 and 8-3 and 3-1 in 1993. All four games have been played in Tallahassee.
