Seminoles Playing Professionally/Internationally This Summer

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Even though the 2019 NCAA softball season has come to an end, there will still be elite level softball played by current and former Seminoles throughout the summer in tournaments around the world.

There are five former Seminoles competing professionally in the NPF (National Pro Fastpitch) among three different teams. Alex Powers (2014-17), Jessica Burroughs (2014-17) and Jessie Warren (2015-18) are playing with the USSSA Pride, Kaleigh Rafter (2009) is competing for the Canadian Wild, while Monica Perry (2012-13) will be on the Aussie Peppers.

The NPF plays a 48-game regular season from May-August, with the Championship Series held on August 15-19 in Chicago, Ill. FloSoftball is streaming over 130 NPF regular season games on FloSoftball.com.

Kylee Hanson (2018) begins her second professional season with Scrap Yard Fast Pitch and will compete in several tournaments and exhibition games throughout the summer.

Recent graduates Meghan King (2016-19) and Carsyn Gordon (2016-19), along with the Puerto Rico National Team, will be attempting to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this summer, along with several other tournaments.

Rising sophomore Kathryn Sandercock will be in the Red, White and Blue this summer for the U-19 National Team and will be playing in Europe during June, along with additional tournaments around the United States this summer.
