With the amount of receivers Florida State’s offenses uses each game and the fact that there will be four seniors at the position on the roster in 2013, adding some quality playmaking on the outside was an important task for the ‘Noles this recruiting cycle.

And Jesus “Bobo” Wilson is just the type of wide receiver that FSU coach Jimbo Fisher covets: he’s fast, he can run good routes, he can play in multiple spots, and perhaps he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder because he was probably a bit underrated coming out of high school.

Wilson has the capability of playing in the slot for the Seminoles and could potentially be a game breaker from that position. He also comes to FSU as a player that has experience playing all over the football field and could potentially be a factor on special teams.

“‘Bobo’ did everything as a player,” said Fisher, who added during his signing day press conference last month that Wilson has the skill set to “change the numbers on the scoreboard very quickly.”

Wilson’s addition to Florida State’s receiving corps gives them an extra punch this season following the loss of Rodney Smith and sets up the depth for the future. Kenny Shaw, Jarred Haggins, Greg Dent and Willie Haulstead are all entering their final seasons in Tallahassee and Rashad Greene will be draft eligible after the 2013 season as a junior.

Wilson adds more pop to an already potent FSU passing attack.

Wilson chose the Seminoles over offers from such programs as Hawaii, Louisville, Mississippi Sate, Oklahoma State, Rutgers and Vanderbilt. He verbally committed to the ‘Noles June 15, 2012 and only took one official visit during the recruiting process, which was to FSU.

Wilson wore No. 3 at Columbus High School in Miami and could potentially wear that same digit at Florida State with the departure of EJ Manuel.
