CARY, N.C. – The top-seeded Florida State soccer team (11-0) opens play in the 2020 NCAA Tournament in the second round on Saturday, May 1 at 12 pm against Milwaukee (9-1-1) in Cary, N.C. The Seminoles received a bye after being named one of the top-16 seeds in this year’s tournament.
Florida State enters the 2020 NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 national seed after going 11-0 in the fall. The fall season ended with FSU’s seventh ACC Tournament Championship. This is the ninth time that Florida State is a No. 1 national seed and it is the 16th straight season and 17th time overall the Seminoles have received a national seed.
Florida State is 17-2 all-time in the second round of the NCAA Tournament and 64-17-3 all-time at the NCAA Tournament. This will be the first meeting between the Seminoles and the Panthers.
The winner of Florida State and Milwaukee advances to the Round of 16 and will play the winner of Vanderbilt and Penn State on May 5 at 3 pm at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
