Soccer to Host Orlando Pride In Spring Scrimmage

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Moving forward to the 2018 season, Florida State soccer will host the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) for a spring scrimmage on February 28 at the Seminole Soccer Complex. The exhibition match will begin at 6:00 p.m. and admission is free for all fans.

The Pride finished third in the NWSL regular season standings in 2017 and lost in the semifinals of the NWSL Playoffs to eventual champion, Portland. There are two former Seminoles currently on the roster for the Pride, Toni Pressley and Carson Pickett, as well as several players who have played for the US National Team, including Ashlyn Harris and Alex Morgan.

It will be the third time that Florida State and Orlando have played a spring scrimmage, but it will be the first time the two teams will play in Tallahassee. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. for the match.
