TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — In the final non-conference game of the regular season, No. 6 Florida State (41-8) will host Troy (34-15) at JoAnne Graf Field on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. Both schools had an open game in their 56-game regular season schedules and added the game in recent weeks.
“I’m glad that it worked out in both of our schedules to fit this game in,” said FSU head coach Lonni Alameda. “Troy is a very competitive team that will help our strength of schedule heading into the postseason and will also be a challenge on the field tomorrow night. And it adds another game for us to play in front of our amazing fans here in Tallahassee. Looking forward to the fun tomorrow.”
The Seminoles lead the all-time series with the Trojans, 29-12-1, including a 21-7 mark at home, dating back to 1995. FSU won both games of a doubleheader, 12-2 and 9-1, at home in 2018, and last lost by the score of 6-4 in 2015.
Florida State ranks No. 6 in all three major polls, as well as the NCAA Softball RPI, and has the No. 2-ranked non-conference strength of schedule in the nation so far this season.
