TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The No. 14 Florida State softball team (3-1) heads to Atlanta, Ga. this weekend to play in six games as a part of the ACC Pod. The Seminoles are scheduled to play three games against Georgia Tech (Feb. 18-19) and three games against No. 15 Virginia Tech (Feb. 20-21).
Florida State kicks off the weekend on Thursday, February 18 with two games against Georgia Tech (5-0). The first game is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm and will be followed up by the second game of the doubleheader right after. FSU wraps up their three games with Georgia Tech on Friday with one game at 1:00 pm. Thursday’s first game and Friday’s game will both be on the ACC Network.
The ACC pod continues for the Noles on Saturday with a pair of games against Virginia Tech (3-0) at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Florida State finishes off their weekend with one game against Virginia Tech on Sunday at 11:00 am.
Florida State vs. Georgia Tech
Florida State and Georgia Tech have met 88 times heading into this weekend. The Seminoles lead the all-time series 62-26. FSU has won 16 straight against the Yellow Jackets, not losing a game dating back to 2013. The last time the two teams met was in the 2019 ACC Tournament when Florida State won 7-0. In that game, Dani Morgan went 3-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Anna Shelnutt hit a two-run home run as well.
Florida State vs. Virginia Tech
Florida State and Virginia Tech have met 46 times heading into this weekend. The Seminoles are 30-16 all-time against Virginia Tech have won 12 straight against the Hokies dating back to 2015.
